I don’t hire teams of cheaper photographers to cover my weddings for me. I personally am there to see the light, help you pose, and make every moment magical.
Of everything we spend our money on in weddings (flowers, food, dresses, locations), photography is the only thing we pass down to our children. Award Winning Albums & Design
All my wedding clients also get gorgeous physical albums. We live in a digital age which means there’s a need for digitals. But there’s also a huge need (and sadly a void in the industry) when it comes to heirloom products that you can touch, enjoy, and show off to loved ones. More and more, people are wanting something artistic and well made, something that they can’t get themselves online, something completely custom and personal. That’s what I’ll make for you.
When I photograph your wedding, I see the love story. I get to know you and your family. And because of that, no one designs these for me. I use the experience of being at your wedding to personally create from scratch the most artistic album that best tells your story. This is what I want to create for you. And after the design is complete, you and I will go through each page/image to make sure the album is exactly as you’d like it to be.
Magazine Style Photo Shoots
No need to copy as some will. My work has been featured in magazines and on magazine covers, even those of other countries. They’re used by record companies, VIPs, filmmakers, TV anchors, and musicians. (See Capitol Records, CMT, Billboard Magazine, TV Guide, American Girl Magazine, American Photo Magazine, and Professional Photographer Magazine to name a few.)
Also I photograph prominent people such as LeAnne Rimes, Olivia Newton-John, David Archuleta, Natalie Cole, Kenny Loggins, Linda Ronstadt, Steve Forbes, Mitt Romney, and the last four Utah Governors.
High-art is my genre – NOT cheaply produced snapshot work. I don’t just have stacks, but boxes of magazines showcasing my work. I will shoot these same kinds of magazine-style images for you. I know just how to make you look wonderful and photogenic – even if you don’t normally feel photogenic. Trust me. My images will compliment you so you’ll look your very best, star style, and capture beautifully the details of your wedding – your dress and flowers, your loved ones, the location and the special ambience of your day.

We can’t always get the weather we want, but not to worry. I love the drama of bad weather and I will use the wind, the grey skies, even the rain to make your images even more powerful. The background will pop and the fleeting clouds will enhance the intensity captured in your images! Trust me, and you’ll have an artistic record of how incredible your day really was. Cox’s Award Winning Albums
I don’t use peal-and-stick albums, cheap online books, nor do I design using drag-and-drop auto-design software. I also refuse to sub out your album design to a cheap designer off out of the country that wasn’t at your wedding, and doesn’t understand your personality. Instead, I personally retouch each image and design each wedding album page from scratch.
When I shoot your wedding, I get to know you and understand what you like and don’t like about yourself. I know how to direct you and light you to make you look your best, I know how to bring out your true personality. And that personal one-on-one experience helps me know how to retouch and design your book so that you absolutely love every single image and every single page design.
When I shoot your wedding, albums are not an add-on – they’re included. And they come in a variety of sizes.
Master Lighting Techniques Add Drama & Make You Look Your Best
Lighting is key! Most photographers sadly don’t bother with it. I know because I’m continually asked by photographers why my images are more clear and vivid, plus I train photographers and see what mistakes they make. The common approach is to shoot lots of images with their camera on auto, hoping for quantity (not quality) that they can then try to remedy later. Their results are washed-out skies, blotchy skin, and out of focus faces. They may call it their “style,” or say it’s more “natural,” but the results are still sub-par.
With me you get 30 years plus of lighting experience. You’ll look beautiful indoors or outdoors in any weather or season (overcast, sunny, snowy, rainy, windy). You’ll look great anywhere and you’ll have dramatic skies and backgrounds behind you that others just can’t imitate.
