Video Sharing Matt & Treva’s Actual Printed Album

Physically printed albums, especially for weddings, are a lost art. That’s why I love creating these amazing pieces for my clients – albums that will be heirlooms that future generations will fight over. I have been winning awards for years with my wedding albums, and today Matt and Treva’s wedding album is finished and ready for delivery.

Here is a video showing off their album, and below are some close-up details of their finished heirloom book.

Cox_Albums-4up_900p

Every one of my wedding collections include a custom made album with a perfectly-sized briefcase for protection and transport. Matt and Treva chose the etched and polished metal cover, which has immediate impact when the briefcase is opened. Their wedding was at the Draper LDS Temple in Utah, and this double-page spread shows the impact of large, beautiful images.Cox_Albums-108

You can see more of their wedding images in the previous blog post. And hopefully with these two posts together you can see the difference in quality, attention to detail, and artistic level of both the photography and the physically printed album. Lots of brides lately like to shop on their phones rather than meeting in person, but my work really does need to be appreciated in person. So I hope these images and video can better help all of you to see some of the reasons I’m one of the top, award-winning photographer in Utah.
Cox_Albums-119 If you’re getting married, give me call. I’d love to talk more about your dream wedding day and what you’d like for your photography. And I’d love to create an heirloom album like this for you. Give me a call at 801-728-3317.

Matt & Treva’s Gorgeous Wedding Photos

Matt and Treva’s gorgeous wedding album is in it’s final stages of being book-bound, and I wanted to share with you their photos and album design.

They were married at the Draper LDS Temple on a beautiful summer day. Mixing the right right style of master lighting techniques with the hot summer sun, and we have a deep blue sky, clear faces, vivid colors, and crisp images all day long.

These two are so great together. The inner romantic in me really comes out at weddings, and I love seeing couples in love, and posing them to create inspiring and romantic images that they will love for years to come. But these two were naturally very loving with each other as you can see in these photos.

I can’t wait to deliver their finished products. I believe strongly in putting in the time and effort to create actual physical albums for clients. And not just any album either, but my award winning album that will be an heirloom for years to come. And while that’s getting finished, here is a slideshow of their wedding album design. Each slide is a double-page spread in their album. Their wedding was at the Draper LDS Temple in Utah, with their wedding dinner at The Gathering Place at Gardner Village in Midvale Utah.

If you’re getting married, give me a call and let’s talk about your dream portrait. I’d love to create some wonderful wedding announcements, bridal portraits, and a gorgeous wedding album for you. My phone is 801-728-3317.

Kayla’s Wedding at the Jordan River LDS Temple in Utah

It’s a great time with couples getting engaged for me to share some weddings. This beautiful wedding at the Jordan River LDS Temple in Utah during the fall is of Kayla and Richard’s beautiful day.

I like to start out album designs with a full, double-page spread of where the couple got married. in this case I did an abstract b&w of the Jordan River Temple before the couple came out.

BryCox_KaylaRichard_SoJordan_001

And here are a few page designs from her finished album, shown as double-page spreads. The idea of the album design is that every double-page spread should be a mini story. I also like the images to be as large as possible for impact when you’re holding the album.

But that’s really hard if each image isn’t crystal clear, which is one reason I believe most photographers don’t produce albums – their images aren’t clean enough to be printed well. That’s a sad thing, because half of the job of photographers should be to produce products that clients can enjoy as physical products, items that can be held in the hands rather than being small phosphorus image on a phone or screen. Digital sharing is handy, but there is something magical about actually holding an album and turning the pages, and having each image large enough that they come to life.BryCox_KaylaRichard_SoJordan_002

We had a beautiful and sunny afternoon to shoot, and you can see how happy the bride and groom are together. I felt honored to be there that day as their wedding photographer.BryCox_KaylaRichard_SoJordan_003 BryCox_KaylaRichard_SoJordan_004 BryCox_KaylaRichard_SoJordan_005

There’s much more to the album, but it’s hard to show albums on a blog. But I do have some short videos that show the books in more detail. Just click on these videos to see them.

Braden & Miranda’s Early Wedding Sneak Peek St. George Utah Temple

Braden and Miranda were married last weekend in the St. George Utah LDS temple, and they had me there to create some wonderful and romantic images for them. I love shooting wedding couples. I like the happiness, the romance, and the wonderful feelings at weddings, and I really like capturing that feeling in photographs that couples will keep for decades.

This particular morning was quiet and serene, and shooting earlier in the day also helped us beat the 100º desert heat that came later in the day. I’ve loved sorting through these portraits and wanted to share a few early favorites of mine in this sneak peek.

BryCox_BradyWedding_01 BryCox_BradyWedding_02

I created a mix of color and black and white, full-lengths, close-ups, as well as images with both a classic and modern appeal. I especially like this emotional set built as a trio.

BryCox_BradyWedding_03

The St. George Utah temple is set in a desert climate, and the stark white building with the direct desert sun makes for a great contrast against the blue sky. It’s a wonderful background for these romantic couple portraits.

And this sequence of Braden “helping” with Miranda’s sunglasses made makes me laugh.

Kim’s Portland Temple LDS Wedding Sneak Peek

Kim’s wedding was really magical. Besides being a beautiful bride, we also had the gorgeous backdrop of Portland and the LDS temple were they got married, plus a stormy sky for drama. Here is an early sneak peek into some of my favorites from her wedding day.

When I was parking for the wedding, I found this spot that looks out into the forest. It make for a great location for these images that I made into a trio.  BryCox_Kim_Wedding_Portland_LDS_Temple_04 BryCox_Kim_Wedding_Portland_LDS_Temple_05 BryCox_Kim_Wedding_Portland_LDS_Temple_06

Jolie’s Wedding Album Design, Timpanogos Temple

Jolie’s wedding at the Timpanogas Temple in American Fork, Utah is beautiful. It was a hot day which meant a deep blue sky with the right handling of light. And mixed with the couple’s really fun personalities, the images are great and romantic. You may have seen their sneak peek earlier on my blog, but I wanted you to see the entire album.

As you view this, notice how happy they are to be together, how great they look, and how vibrant the colors are, and how wonderful every single photograph looks.

Michelle’s Wedding Album at the Rock Church & Providence Bed & Breakfast (Logan, Utah)

I’ve been excited to post this wedding for some time because I had a wonderful day photographing Michelle & Tysen’s wedding at the Rock Church & Providence Bed & Breakfast in Logan, Utah.

The couple is so wonderful together, the day was planned perfectly, and the emotion in these images is wonderful. There was a lot of attention to detail with beautiful gifts for the guests, gorgeous flowers, a wonderful backdrop of flowy material and tall trees, and the sunset was stunning. The entire collection of images are romantic, dramatic, and the images tell the story beautifully. Here is their entire album design as a slideshow from morning until sunset.

The album design starts in the morning with the couple getting ready, then it moves to the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time (first sight portraits). Then before guests arrived, we took some time walking around and creating some really romantic images of just the couple. Then the ceremony starts, you see the family groupings, and then the really fun reception complete with live music, croquet, and bocce ball.

The music is by my sister, Elise (MusicByElise.com)

Kamberlyn’s Windy Wedding Album Salt Lake Temple

I am finishing up and shipping out a lot of wedding albums right now, and Kamberlyn’s album is one I must share. Ever since I posted the sneak peek of her wedding, people have been talking about these images. Here are a few of them again.

Cox_KLowe-W-1185b-Edge

Cox_KLowe-W-1168-Edge

Most photographers see weather as something that must be avoided, but I love it. It gives me a chance to really stand out and use creative lighting and posing in creative ways for really impactful images. And this windy day of Kami’s made for a lot of impact and emotion throughout the album. Plus this couple is a dance team, and you can see the chemistry between them.

So here is her entire album design, shown as a slideshow to music, with each double-page spread shown as a slide. The wedding starts at the Salt Lake Temple, continues on with lots of romantic couple portraits, before going across the street to the City Creek for the reception.

Hopefully you notice the artistry, the clarity, the romance, the weather, the dancing skills, and what a beautiful day this is.

And here is how my albums look when they are finished.

Janae’s Wedding Album Is Gorgeous, Bountiful LDS Temple

Janae & Jason’s wedding album is finished and I am boxing it up to ship out to them. It looks so amazing that I had to share it here. You may remember the sneak peek from their wedding, well here is the final product, their finished album and briefcase. I shot this video today before shipping it out so you could see what it looks like.

I love photographing weddings. They are romantic and inspiring, and I love putting my heart and soul into every detail, and creating wonderful finished products that future grandchildren will fight over.

This wedding was on a stormy spring day, which meant with the right use of lighting, I was able to capture this amazing sky in their background for really dramatic images.

There is a lot that happens on a wedding day, and that means there is a lot to photograph. So here is a video showing the entire day.

If you are getting married, give me a call and come in and hold one of my albums in your hands. See the beauty and clarity of every page, and why you will look amazing in a Bry Cox portrait.

Sneak Peek of Michelle’s Wedding at the Old Rock Church

This weekend I photographed Michelle and Tysen’s wedding at the Old Rock Church up in Cache Valley, outside of Logan Utah. It was a gorgeous location, a beautiful day, and being such a great couple meant for lots of beautiful images all day long. Here is a sneak peek of some of my early favorites.

They put on a beautiful wedding. I loved the extra touches like having a live band to dance to, croquet and bocce ball set up for the guests, and lots of great food.

Ben & Marisa’s Wedding at the Salt Lake Temple in Winter

One of my favorite things about photographing a wedding is delivering the final album to the couple. A wedding requires a lot of prep time, a jam-packed day and night of shooting the event artistically, and then quite a bit of time afterwards to design and produce one of my award-winning albums. During this entire process, I am thinking about how the end product will look, I’m designing it all, and when I finally see it finished, I can’t wait for the wedding couple to see it and enjoy it. Delivering it personally is part of my pay artistically. I love delivering albums!

Ben and Marisa’s album was gorgeous and looked extra beautiful with its custom metal cover. It’s hard to describe how pretty it is online, but here are some of their images. It was a cold day but the images look warm, romantic, and beautiful.

BryCox_BenMarisa_SLT

And here some of my favorite pages from their book to share. Keep in mind that these are double page spreads, folded down the middle, with each half measuring about 10×13 inches. That makes for an impressive and large spread when laid open.

BryCox_BenMarisa_14

This couple has been so great to work with and they are a great couple together. You can really see their love and excitement in these images, and it made photographing their wedding a joy.

BryCox_BenMarisa_11

I’m one of the few Master/Craftsman photographers based in Utah, and do a lot of weddings of all faiths. However some years most of my weddings I photograph are Mormon weddings at the LDS temple in Salt Lake City, like this one. It’s a gorgeous place to shoot and I love it when there’s drama in the sky and bad weather. It makes for some memorable images. In fact the first wedding I photographed almost 20 years ago, I shot here at the Salt Lake temple on a very snowy day.

BryCox_BenMarisa_13

If you follow my blog, you may remember this couple’s engagement and bridal portraits, which you can see here. They too are gorgeous and fun.

And if you haven’t seen my awesome wedding albums, then check them out in this short video…

Well if you’re getting married, give me a call. I can do your wedding, or just bridals or engagements or even everything together. No matter what you hire me to do, you’ll know you’ll get the best portraits possible. 801-728-3317.

Rachel’s Bride & Groom Portraits at Utah’s Grand America

This weekend I photographed Rachel’s wedding, but on a different day before her wedding we went to the Grand America (because her wedding dinner would be there) and created some incredible bridal portraits – some with the groom. The idea was to have these on display at her dinner, and then in her home after the wedding. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

The Grand America is a AAA Five Diamond hotel, and every detail is regal. I have always loved creating images there. The setting is perfect for those romantic and beautifully classic portraits for your wall. When I mix this beautiful location with my exquisite lighting style and attention to detail, the results are breath-taking images that will stand the test of time and will continue to evoke emotion when viewing in years to come.

I am so happy that this couple found each other and were married this weekend. Once their wedding album is designed, I’ll post it as well.

I know how to make you look amazing in any location. I would love to meet with you and talk about why the images I create for you will be emotional, unique and different. 801-728-3317.
