I am very excited about some of my new colorful albums. Design-wise they are the same inside as my other custom albums, but include more colorful covers. The pages bind closer together down the middle than my ‘Old World’ book so that 2-page spread designs are less interrupted in the middle. Like all my custom books, each page is mounted and lacquered for the best protection and presentation.
These two albums below are some samples I’ve created of some recent wedding designs. I will be showing them at upcoming bridal shows, or you can also see them by scheduling a personal meet and greet with me to talk about your upcoming wedding.

These weddings above can be seen in slideshow form right here:
Red Album Slideshow,
Blue Album Slideshow.
The Red Album was held in the groom’s backyard and the Blue Album was a beach wedding in Cabo.
Until next time, America!

I shot the cover of the latest issue of Wasatch Woman magazine, which is out now. The cover photograph is of author Muffy Mead-Ferro who wrote the books, Confessions of a Slacker Mom, and Confessions of a Slacker Wife, based on the idea that you can’t do everything, and sometimes shouldn’t — but instead need to step back sometimes and allow your kids to get hurt or fail in order for them to really learn and become good adults.
I created the images for the cover and article in her home which is located in the Avenues of Salt Lake City. The cover image was created in her front entry way and shows a large painting of her daughter playing the piano in the next room, appearing as if her daughter is looking at her.
Another one of my favorite images is featured in the article, and shows Muffy in her beautiful kitchen. I designed the images to portray her as a great mom.
If you get a chance to check it out, I think you’d like this issue.
This week I finished the cover for the upcoming issue of Wasatch Woman, and I am very excited! It is absolutely stunning! I can’t say yet who it is of, or even give you a glimpse of what it may look like, but when it comes out I’ll post it here.
Well, have a good Memorial Day weekend, and until next time America!

Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand have a new album coming out in a few days. The photo shoot was a lot of fun, and I was curious to see how the record label would use the images in the final layout.
Having seen the final layout, I can tell you that it will look cool! Here is a sneak peak of the cover.

I think it has a cool vibe to it and I’m excited to hear the final tracks.
I love photographing bands. Those kinds of shoots allow me to be the most creative and try completely new things. They are also very exhausting, because like many commercial shoots, they are an all day gig without any breaks.
For this photo shoot we even built some amazing sets too, so it would look like we were in an old hotel’s narrow hallway.

Some of those ‘hotel’ images are on the group’s website as the headers, like this image below.

Go to their site and hit refresh a few times and check out the different header images. And while you are there, buy an early copy of the CD so you get a signed copy, and check out the tour dates coming up, and watch some of their fun videos.
If you go to any concerts, come say hi to me!
Until next time America,

Yes, this week I’m working like crazy to finish a bunch of senior orders.
One order I’ve been working on is for Trevor of Weber High. Here are some of his awesome portraits.

I have very specific techniques for processing images when I do work for magazines. I use those same techniques on senior portraits, and they tell me that they love having cool photographs that are different.
Enjoy these images of Taylor. If you know him, ask him for some copies of these images…especially if you’re a cute girl. I’m sure he’d like that. :-)
Until next time, America!

Well, I’m back! Last week I was speaking and teaching at the world’s largest portrait photographic workshop, held once a year for a week in College Station Texas. It is called Texas School! Over 1000 photographers fly in to attend Texas School from all over the US as well as many other countries too.
Unlike speaking at a convention for 3 to 6 hours, this type of workshop gives me the ability to really spend time and go more in-depth in the subjects I teach: Creativity, Technical, and Successful Business Techniques. The class sizes for these week-long workshops are limited so you really can learn and ask questions, spending every day all day with the instructor for an entire week.
I am proud that my class sells out literally in just minutes every year! My class this year was wonderful. Here is our class photo, inspired by a phrase in my creativity section of the seminar called, “Thinking inside the box.”

I have more week-long workshops planned for this year. If you are a photographer and are interested, then check out my workshop site at BryCoxWorkshops.com for dates and locations. Also, there is a workshop in the works that will be held right here at my studio some time this year. If you are interested in that, let me know.
And, until next time, America!
